Newtown, CT: Sandy Hook Promise charity that speaks for 11 of 26 families affected by the Sandy Hook massacre, is collecting signatures to petition NBC entertainment from airing a message from disaster deniers. While we wish every day that the shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary had never happened, the reality is that 20 children and six educators were killed by one man with a gun. Alex Jones claims this never happened and fuels other conspiracy theorists who harass families – and now NBC is offering him a national platform with a primetime interview.

Sandy Hook Promise is a national non-profit organization founded and led by several family members whose loved ones were killed at Sandy Hook Elementary School on December 14, 2012. A gunman killed 20 children and six educators at Sandy Hook Elementary School.

Based in Newtown, Connecticut, our intent is to honor all victims of gun violence by turning our tragedy into a moment of transformation by providing programs and practices that protect children and prevent the senseless, tragic loss of life.
